ABOUT

As the Lead Editor for 40 outrageous episodes of Comedy Central's Crank Yankers, I had the privilege of collaborating with an incredible team of filmmakers, guided by the multi-talented showrunner, Jonathan Kimmel. Our mission? To bring to life a cast of uproarious puppets engaging in prank phone calls with unsuspecting targets.

In my role as editor, I did more than just ensure that the puppet characters' lip-sync matched the action. I delved deep into the footage to highlight and enhance the visual humor, created preliminary composites for the VFX work, and sound designed every segment that I edited. I often recorded my own custom sound effects, tailoring them to emphasize the visual gags whenever stock effects fell short.

Our efforts proved to be a resounding success. Not only did Crank Yankers' debut mark Comedy Central's highest-rated series premiere since 2014, but it also secured the show's renewal for a second season. To top it off, Crank Yankers star Wanda Sykes received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for her portrayal of Gladys on the series.
